Chili garlic paneer recipe

A restaurant style garlic paneer, is a sizzling starter recipe that’s delicious and easy to make. Fried paneer is cooked in flavorful sauces. Coating paneer is with minced or crushed garlic adds a robust flavor to paneer. Crispy paneer is sauted in flavorful sauces, making this recipe tastier than any other starter recipes

One way, this chili garlic paneer is like paneer Manchurian. Paneer does not have any taste. Adding garlic to it makes a lot of difference  when you eat it alone. While the sauces balances the rest of the flavors. Crispy paneer pieces cooked in a gravy of green chilies, vinegar, red chili sauce and soy sauce makes paneer tastier.

In restaturants paneer is deep fried so it becomes crisper and doesnot become soggy when cooked in the gravy. It only makes it slightly smooter and the sauces are well coated to it. Paneer is so soft and when you cook for a few minutes it becomes brittle and crushed. To hold the texture of each cube paneer can be deep fried or pan fried ahead.

Coating the paneer with a combination of all pupose flour and corn flour not only makes it crisper, but also helps to hold the shape.

DO WE NEED TO DEEP FRY PANEER?

The answer is YES and NO. Usually in restaturants they deep fry paneer for two reasons.

One of them is it is easy and not very time consuming. So paneer is fried and set aside to use in a variety of recipes, may it be fried rice or any appetizer.

Secondly paneer stays crisper for longer time and doesnot break.

ALTERNATE METHODS OF COOKING PANEER

Pan fry : Pan fry paneer on a low flame with a tablespoon of oil. Do not forget to turn paneer occasionally for an even frying. Paneer needs a cripy layer on all side. So be gentle while turning it.

Bake : Baking paneer is an option , again turn it halfway.

Air Fry : Air fryer has been an option of quick and easy frying these days, I assume it doesnot take a lot of time, as paneer is already very soft. It might need only a couple of minutes of frying. I am looking to try this option soon. How ever if please comment to let us know if you have experience frying paneer in an air fryer. It would be very helpful for many.

I like cashews and think they’re healthy. I’m going to try making this dish with air fryer at home because it appears to be a simple recipe. Thanks for sharing.
