Ribbon covered snapclips are beautifully decorated with easter eggs and carrots.. The eggs and carrots are cut on a ribbon or any choice of fabric.
I have tons of ribbons as i make hairbows for my daughter and niece. You do not need a cricut or any other fancy macinery to cut these.
Easter Carrots hairclips are made with simple ribbons these are the cutiest easter themed hair accesories for your loved ones.
All you need is just a tiny orange ribbon or fabric to resemble carrots and you have the perfect hairclips for your easter party.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE EASTER HAIRBOWS
Cover your snapclips with ribbon. Choose colors that contrast with the carrots, i used a light green or any pastel color, something close to it.
Step by step instructions to cover a snapclip are here:
Draw the shape of an egg to the desired size on a card stock or thick paper. Take a piece of fabric or wide ribbon. Trace the shape of egg on it. Leave a centimeter or more of space and cut.
It is easier to use grosgrain ribbon than satin for this project.
Using a hand held end ligther or candle heat the edges to avoid fraying. Be as much careful as possible to avoid accidents.
Similarly, cut an inch of orange ribbon. Trim the ends of the ribbon to resemble a carrot. Wider at the top and narrow at the bottom. Do not worry about the shape, they need not look the same. Slight differnces make they look more natural..
Secure fraying ends with a flame.
Use a green ribbon and cut as shown below. secure fraying ends.
Now glue the carrot together with a hot glue gun. Add the green ribbon on the top.
Carrots are ready now. Let’s glue this to the already cut egg and to the snapclip.
