HOW TO MAKE THIS SUNSET MOCKTAIL ?

Slice fresh watermelon into cubes and juice it in a blender or juicer. If using a blender, strain the pulp for a clear juice.

Set aside and squeeze the juice an orange and strain the pulp as needed.

Traditionally the glasses of the cocktails are decorated in colored or fancy suagr or salt crystals. Salt or sugar id choosen based on the ingredients used to prepare the drinks… This creates a frosted look as well fancier..

So let’s prepare the glasses first. To do this rub the rim of the rim of the glass/glasses with limes or lemon. Sprinkle sugar/salt in a plate and invert the lime coated glass and twist a couple of times. The moisture absorbs the sugar and creates a beautiful look as shown.

When ready to serve the drinks, squeeze lime juice and add a few mint leaves.  Or you can also add a small lime slice and few mint leaves.

Muddle them to together till the are slightly crushed. Be gentle while muddling as it may break the glass. Use thick fancy glasses that are thin in the bottom and wide on top.

Now it’s time to prepare the drink. Gently add the orange juice to the bottom. Now te question is how much right? Depending the style of the glass fill 1/4 to 1/2 of the glass with ornage juice.

Next fill 3/4 of the glass with ice. Crushed ice acts as a barrier between the two colors.

Add carbonated drink to fill the ice.

Now gently add the watermelon juice on the top of the ice. Do not mix or  pour it from a height. The watermelon juice lays on the top and creates a beautiful look..

Decorate with a slice of lemon enjoy your drink…

I don’t drink alcohol and sometimes it’s hard to find something refreshing and delicious in summer, so this is perfect for me. I love the colors of the sunset in this mocktail. I have saved the recipe for later this year. Thanks for sharing.
