The most amusing thing when you have a little girl is splurging on their accesories. And when you have the hobby of making their accessories you have piles of stuff to deal with. My daughter has a bow for every outfit.That’s when organzing all these cute little bows and head bands becomes a huge task.
DO I NEED TO BE CRAFTER TO MAKE THIS ORGANIZER?
- Absolutely NO. You needn’t be a vivid crafter to make this.
- This project doesn’t need much stuff, even if you buy everything it cost around 5 bucks for this project.
WHAT IS MOD PODGE?
Mod Podge is a decoupage medium. It is a glue, sealer, and finish designed for craft and art projects.Can be used as a sealer , to glue fabric , paper mostly any surface. It dries clear and quickly. It will be your magic craft supply if you are new to crafting.
WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS HAIR ORGANIZER?
This handmade hairbow holder organizes your stuff as well adds an elegant decor to your child’s room.
This DIY hairbow holder has become a prized possesion of my little one lately.As a monogram of her name and she loves to organize her bows end of the each day. So no more spending time looking for them each morning.
WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED FOR THIS PROJECT?

- Wooden Letter ( available at any craft store)
- Scarpbook paper of your chioce
- Mod Podge
- Paint brush or Foam Brush
- Ribbons of your chioce
- Scissors
- Glue gun
- Lighter to seal ribbon ends
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE HAIRBOW ORGANIZER
Trace the letter on the back side of the scrappaper with a pencil. Cut the traced letter leaving extra space to cover the sides.
Covering the sides make the letter look more crisp and beautiful..
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge with a foam brush , soft paint brush and place the letter and stick slowly avoiding air bubbles. (doing this from the reverse side helps)
Smooth out airbubbles carefully with a gift/credit card. Cover the sides too if desired. Let dry (usually it doesn’t take very long).
Apply another coat of mod podge, on the top of the letter. This helps to seal as well give a glossy finshed looks to the monogram letter. Let it dry completely.
Cut Ribbon of desried size (appox 60 – 70 cms) for the hairbows and two small size to hang.(approx 20 – 25 cms) and seal them fraying with a lighter.
Hot Glue the long ribbons at the bottom to hold the hairbows and smaller ones on the top to hang the hairbow holder. Tie the top ribbons together.
Add decorations to beautify it more. Viola ! Now you not only have a customized hairbow holder to organize but also a custom decor for your room.
DO NOT HAVE MOD PODGE? YOU CAN STILL MAKE THIS !
Mod Podge in this project lets you adhere the paper nicely to the wooden letter as well seals it. If you do not have mod podge or don’t like using it for various reasons you can still make this.
- Buy a painted letter easily availble in any store (a little pricey) and add ribbons.
- Paint the wooden letter with your choice of color, usually it take 2-3 coats. Let dry completely and emblish with decorations.
