WHAT ARE ENERGY BALLS MADE OF?
Usually energy balls are great source of all good ingredients in one place. There are usually many varieties of energy bites likes fat bombs, diet oriented, bliss balls ect.. to name a few. Most of these are no bake quickly rolled in oats , nuts or dessicated coconut. Each energy ball or bite has a base ingredient. Few to name are:
Oats based: Most of the Energy bites had oats as the main base.Oats are good source of fiber and healthy fats.
Dates based : Dates are rich in nutrients and are good in fiber. They help bind as well sweaten the bites without adding any additional sugar.
Nut Butter based : Most diet oriented energy balls like keto has the nut butters such as almond, peanut , cashew as thier main ingredient which are a good source of protien and fats.
WHAT SWEETNERS ARE USED IN ENERGY BITE?
The chioce of sweeteners depend on the ingredients used in the energy balls. Most of the time natural sweetners are used like dates, honey.
If using nut butters adding a powdered sweetened is recommened.
If the energy bites needs some liquid to bind them them honey , maple syrup can be used. So it totally depends on the other ingredients of the energy bites.
WHAT FLOURS ARE USED IN ENERGY BITES?
Oats flour, Almond Flour, Coconut Flour , Coconut Flour, Cashew flour ect.. are a few to name.
Oats Flour : Use this if you don’t have any diet restrictions, preferbaly for most of the kid friendly energy bites.
Almond Flour : Almond Flour is used in most Keto , Gluten free energy bites
Coconut Flour : Used in most energy bites , coconut flour absobs the extra moisture in the energy bites.
